Introducing St. Augustine Style Thanksgiving
Since St. Augustine was the site of the first Thanksgiving and in honor of this unique coastal settlement which is celebrating it’s 450th anniversary Beach to River has conjured a special Thanksgivng menu for our readers. The menu items and our special recipes have been developed with the St. Augustine lifestyle and heritage in mind.
St. Augustine Style Thanksgiving Menu
- Crab Bisque (Publix brand Lobster Bisque soup base; substitute crab)
- Garlic-Herbed Rolls (Favorite rolls brushed with butter and same herbs used on turkey)
- Roasted Herbed Turkey with gravy
- Rustic Mashed Potatoes (Mashed potatoes with skins still on; diced onions, coarsely mashed)
- Cranberries with Datil Peppers
- Oyster Stuffing
- Southern Sweet Potato Casserole
- Baklava
