St Augustine Style Collard Greens with Turkey
This is the perfect recipe for Thanksgiving turkey leftovers and for the first day back at work after the holiday since you can start it before work and have a hot meal ready when you get home. Use the wings from your St Augustine Style Thanksgiving turkey for this slow-cooked southern delicacy.
St Augustine Style Collard Greens |
- 2 turkey wings, skinned, boned and coarsely chopped
- 14 oz of turkey broth; substitute chicken broth if necessary
- 1 lb fresh collard greens, chopped
- 5 green onions, chopped
- 1 bell pepper; chopped
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper
- salt and pepper to taste
- Combine all ingredients in 6 quart slow cooker
- Cook on low for 8-9 hours
