Saint Augustine Ballet will be holding auditions for their production of the 2012 Nutcracker at 1711 Lakeside Avenue, Unit 9 in Saint Augustine on Saturday, August 18, 2012. Dancers age eight and up who are currently studying ballet are invited to audition.
Dancers must wear proper ballet attire: black leotard, pink tights with hair in a bun for females and black pants with a white shirt for males. Auditions for all female solos will be done on pointe. All dancers must bring a headshot. Female dancers should also bring a photo in First Arabesque. A non-refundable $25 audition fee will be charged at the time of registration. Please bring cash or make checks out to Saint Augustine Ballet.
The Nutcracker performances will take place on Saturday, December 15 at 2:00p.m. and 7:30p.m. A Sunday matinee will be performed on December 16 at 2:00p.m. in Lewis Auditorium at Flagler College (formerly known as Flagler College Auditorium.)
The St. Augustine Ballet is a 501(C)3 nonprofit arts organization. Their mission is offer Saint Johns County dancers the unique opportunity to perform in full-length classical ballets productions. Saint Augustine Ballet strives to involve community members of all ages in meaningful dance experiences, whether as a participating dancer or audience member.
